Blabberize!

Now that I have your attention with that title, let me share with you a fun new Web 2.0 tool that I have discovered while at ISTE. www.blabberize.com is a site where you can upload an image and then turn it into a "talking head" of sorts. For example, if you wanted to pull in a picture of Abraham Lincoln and then have him "speak" to the kids about his assasination, you could use this website to create that animation. The site will allow you to record your voice and then it attaches that sound to the image and the "mouth" of your image moves along with the text you recorded! How cool is that? Play around with it and I will post specific instructions on how to use it once I am back from the conference.

Stay tuned for more new tips and tools as I continue my ISTE 2010 journey.

Cool graphics for free!

Here is another great Web 2.0 tool. Visit cooltext.com for a free graphics resource site.

Interact with Your Audience!

Wondering how I got that Wiki question in my previous blog post? Want to create instant interaction with your audience? Then visit this awesome FREE site:

www.polleverywhere.com

Here you can create your own instant polls. Depending on how you set up your poll, your audience can respond by sending text messages through their phones, or by sending an email. It's a great way to gain instant feedback and a better understanding of the dynamics of any audience.

Try it out and let me know the different ways you incorporate this Web 2.0 tool in your classroom!
